Here at MetalGear we are keeping it simple and give you an easy guide for you to choose the right pad for you braking needs.

 

BRAKE PADS ORGANIC

MetalGear Organic Brake Pads are the softest compound in our range and are gentle on the disc.

Organic Pads are best for:

Scooters – normal riding Road Bikes – normal riding Road registered Dirt Bikes – On road ATV’s – basic off road riding (Not for wet muddy conditions)    NOTE:    If you are heavy on your brakes, sinter is recommended

BRAKE PADS KEVLAR [-K]

MetalGear Kevlar Brake Pads is the next step up from organic compound.

They have a little extra bite when braking.

Kevlar pads are best for:

Scooters – normal riding Road Bikes & Cruisers – normal riding Dirt Bikes – On road ATV’s – basic off road riding (Not for wet muddy conditions) High powered sports bikes – normal riding

BRAKE PADS SINTER [-S]

MetalGear Sinter Pads are a harder compound again and is the softest compound in our Sintered range. 

It can withstand more heat than Organic and Kevlar compounds, but is still gentle to the disc. 

Sinter Pads are best for:

Scooters – riders who want extra bite for braking Road Bikes – Advance braking and riding Dirt Bikes off /on Road – & wet, muddy & sandy conditions ATV’s – off/ on Road - & wet, muddy & sandy conditions High powered Sports Bikes – Advance braking and riding Cruisers – Long road trips

BRAKE PADS SINTER SPORT [-SP]

MetalGear Sintered Sport Brake Pads is the hardest compound in our range & can withstand a lot of heat. 

Sinter Sport are suitable for:

Road Bikes – Track Days Dirt Bikes / ATV’s – Off road track racing High powered Sports Bikes – Aggressive braking and riding
